FAQs

Q?

How do I know if I am living in the Exhibition Park catchment?

A.

The Exhibition Park neighbourhood's boundaries are: Woodlawn Road to the north -  Edinburgh Rd. to the west -  Paisley Rd. to the south and the Dufferin Street neighbourhood to the East. But even if you don't live in our 'hood- you are always most welcome at our events. The more the merrier!

Q?

How do I know what Neighbourhood Group I belong in?

A.

You find this out by going to www.guelphneighbourhoods.org which is the website of our parent group: The Guelph Neighbourhood Support Coalition. It helps to build healthy, helpful and inclusive neighbourhoods by providing programs and events that encourage community participation and involvement.

Q?

I’ve heard about your Family Dances- how do I get tickets to the next one?

A.

We usually have tickets on sale a week or so before our Family Dances. They can be bought by going to tickets@epng.ca . To find out about our next Family Dance, get on our mailing list or join our Facebook page. Stay connected, and save us a dance!

Q?

Where does the money go when you fundraise?

A.

We don't have too many events that we charge money for. We like to keep our togetherness cheap and cheerful. When we do have a fee (Family Dances for example) 100% of the money made after expenses goes back into our community. We make sure to use it to hold local community events, help local charaties and feed local businesses.

Q?

Exhibition Park just got a new playground and it looks great- how was the process?

A.

This is a very common question for us. Many playgrounds are slated for replacement and ours came up in 2014. The City of Guelph asked our community for their opinions, input and asks. The EPNG team remained on the steering committee along with other members of our neighbourhood. We had a very positive experience working with the City on this project. It was a very open and friendly partnership which we can't say enough about. We love the City of Guelph and we hope you'll love our new playground!
